On Saturday 22nd July, the Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour visited Bermagui Country Club with prestigious $200,000 Melbourne Cup Trophy.
We had a great planned for this unique and exciting event!
The day started bright and early with a 7am Charter Boat Trip with Crusty & Milla from Hot Fishing Chaters Bermagui
to Camel Rock for some photos of the Melbourne Cup Trophy & Legendary former track rider Joe Agresta.

At 8am the Trash & Treasure markets kicked off in the Club car-park, where members of the public had the opportunity to come along and get a photo with the Cup and pick up a few bargains at our markets.

After the markets had finished we held a 2 course VIP Luncheon in the Terrace Restaurant of the Club, where we had 55 people attend this fantastic luncheon! We had Bega Valley Shire Mayor Kristy McBain come along as our special guest & also Barbara Joseph our local trainer who has successfully trained over 1100 winners.

The Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour also made an appearance at our local football ground where our local team 'The Breakers' were playing there annual round for the Kenny Jack Cup, where they had a win!

Then the night kicked off at 6pm with a cocktail evening held in the Bermagui Country Club Auditorium.
The night was well attended with over 100 people enjoying their evening with some cocktails,
live entertainment by Joe Driscoll, trivia, nibblies & raffles.

We thank the Victorian Racing Club, Joe McGrath, Ray Dummett, Joe Agresta & Justin Stolarski for allowing us to showcase this beautiful trophy in our small town of Bermagui.

Can-Assist received a $1000 cheque from the Bermagui Country Club from the Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour proceeds from all the events held on Saturday 22nd July.
