Bermagui Country Club Funds Marine Rescue Bermagui’s Emergency Power Upgrade

Bermagui Country Club is proud to announce its funding of Marine Rescue Bermagui’s 2025 ClubGRANTS application, supporting their vital project to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 marine emergency services.

The grant of $5,647.60 will enable the replacement of eight backup batteries at the Bermagui base, which are critical for maintaining radio communications during power outages. These batteries support the base’s emergency operations, including coordination with rescue vessels and communication with distressed boats.

Marine Rescue Bermagui is a volunteer-led organisation that conducts an average of 28 search and rescue missions annually, logs over 1,800 vessels, and handles more than 6,500 radio communications. With 35 volunteers contributing over 4,000 hours each year, their role in local marine safety is indispensable.

“Supporting Marine Rescue Bermagui aligns with our commitment to community wellbeing and safety,” said Tanya Hill from Bermagui Country Club. “We’re proud to help ensure their operations continue without interruption and would like to thank the dedicated volunteers who keep our waters safe.”
